- Support the reconciliation of accounts and assist in the collection of outstanding payments.
- Stay updated on changes in insurance regulations and billing practices to ensure adherence to current standards.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Associate degree in business, finance, healthcare administration, or a related field.
- 1+ years of experience in insurance billing or a related administrative role.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic understanding of medical billing processes and insurance terminology.
Preferred:
- Experience working with billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, for data management and reporting.
- Familiarity with billing software and databases.
- Understanding of medical coding (CPT, ICD-10) is a plus.
