Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Managing Partner to lead our Insurance Law practice. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of insurance regulations and litigation, with a proven track record of successfully managing complex legal matters and driving business growth. This role requires visionary leadership to inspire a team of talented attorneys while fostering strong client relationships and expanding our market presence.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the Insurance Law practice, ensuring the delivery of high-quality legal services to clients while maintaining the firm’s reputation for excellence.
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives to grow the practice area, including identifying new business opportunities and fostering client relationships.
- Mentor and support attorneys in their professional development, providing guidance on complex legal issues and promoting a collaborative team culture.
- Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, managing client relationships and ensuring satisfaction with services provided.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and case law developments to inform practice strategy and maintain competitive advantage.
- Contribute to the firm's thought leadership through publications, speaking engagements, and participation in legal associations.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and admission to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
- 10+ years of experience in insurance law, with a focus on litigation and regulatory compliance.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in managing teams and driving successful outcomes in a law firm environment.
- Strong business development acumen with a track record of cultivating new client relationships.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively advocate for clients.
Preferred:
- Experience in a leadership role within a law firm, particularly in the insurance sector.
- Established network of contacts within the insurance industry and legal community.
- Track record of publishing legal articles or presenting at industry conferences.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in legal research and case management software.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks and risk management strategies in the insurance sector.
- Experience with data analytics tools to drive insights and inform legal strategies.
