Role Overview
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Pharmaceutical Operations to lead and optimize our operational capabilities across our pharmaceutical product lines. In this role, you will oversee the entire lifecycle of pharmaceutical operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while driving efficiency and innovation in our processes.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of operational strategies to enhance productivity, quality, and compliance across pharmaceutical operations
- Oversee manufacturing, supply chain management, and quality assurance to ensure timely delivery of products
- Collaborate with R&D, regulatory affairs, and commercial teams to align operational capabilities with product development goals
- Conduct regular assessments of operational performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including FDA regulations, cGMP, and other industry standards
- Manage budgets and resource allocation effectively to optimize operational efficiency and profitability
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical operations, with a focus on manufacturing and supply chain management
- Proven track record in leading cross-functional teams in a highly regulated environment
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and quality assurance processes
- Exceptional analytical skills and experience in data-driven decision-making
Preferred:
- Advanced degree (MBA or PhD) in a relevant field
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies
- Strong network within the pharmaceutical industry and familiarity with emerging trends
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and supply chain dynamics
- Proficient in enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and data analytics tools
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools
