Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Human Resources Specialist to join our dynamic HR team. In this role, you will support various HR functions and initiatives, playing a critical part in enhancing our employee experience and promoting a positive workplace culture.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the recruitment process by screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and coordinating candidate communications
- Support onboarding processes for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the company
- Maintain employee records and HR databases, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality
- Facilitate employee engagement initiatives and contribute to the development of HR policies
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits
- Support performance management processes and assist with training and development programs
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 1+ years of experience in an HR role, including internships or volunteer positions
- Strong understanding of HR principles and practices
Preferred:
- Familiarity with HRIS and applicant tracking systems
- Experience in employee engagement and retention strategies
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification (or in progress)
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with HRIS platforms and data management
- Basic understanding of employment laws and regulations
