Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Hopper Feeder to oversee and optimize our material handling processes. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the hopper feeding operations, ensuring the efficient flow of materials while maintaining quality standards. You will lead a team of operators, providing training and guidance to achieve operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the hopper feeding operations, ensuring materials are fed accurately and efficiently into production lines
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance workflow and minimize downtime
- Monitor and analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement
- Conduct regular training sessions for team members to ensure adherence to safety and operational protocols
- Collaborate with production management to align on operational goals and resolve any material flow issues
- Maintain accurate records of materials used and production output for reporting purposes
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in material handling or a related field, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Strong understanding of hopper feeding operations and material flow
- Proven ability to lead teams and drive operational improvements
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Preferred:
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles
- Certification in safety management
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in using material handling equipment and machinery
- Knowledge of production scheduling and inventory management systems
- Experience with data analysis tools to monitor performance metrics
