Role Overview
We are seeking an innovative and visionary Endowed Chair in Home and Family Living to lead research, education, and outreach initiatives that address contemporary challenges in family dynamics and home management. This role is crucial in shaping the future of family studies, integrating interdisciplinary approaches while fostering a collaborative environment for faculty and students alike.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a strategic vision for the Home and Family Living program, focusing on research, teaching, and community engagement
- Lead and mentor faculty and students in interdisciplinary research initiatives that address real-world challenges in family living
- Engage with community stakeholders to promote outreach programs that enhance family well-being and home management practices
- Secure funding for research projects through grants, partnerships, and collaboration with industry and community organizations
- Oversee curriculum development and ensure the integration of current research findings into academic programs
- Publish high-impact research in peer-reviewed journals and present findings at national and international conferences
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Ph.D. in Family Studies, Human Development, or a related field
- A strong record of research and scholarship in Home and Family Living
- Demonstrated leadership experience in academic settings
- Proven ability to secure funding for research initiatives

Preferred:
