Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Highway Painting Supervisor to lead our painting operations, ensuring the highest quality standards and safety protocols are met. This role is pivotal in overseeing the application of road markings and signage, enhancing roadway safety and visibility across various projects. As a fully remote position, you will manage teams and coordinate efforts from a distance while fostering effective communication and collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate highway painting operations to ensure adherence to project specifications, timelines, and budget constraints.
- Develop and implement painting strategies, including the selection of materials and techniques to enhance durability and visibility of road markings.
- Conduct regular site inspections to assess quality of work, compliance with safety regulations, and adherence to contract requirements.
- Manage and train a team of painting technicians, promoting best practices and continuous improvement in painting operations.
- Collaborate with project managers, traffic engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of painting projects within broader infrastructure initiatives.
- Analyze project performance metrics and provide feedback for process improvements and efficiency gains.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of project activities, including work schedules, material inventories, and compliance reports.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in highway painting or related field, with a proven track record in supervisory roles.
- Strong knowledge of road marking materials and application techniques, as well as relevant industry standards and safety regulations.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in utilizing project management software and tools for scheduling and reporting.
Preferred:
- Experience with federal and state highway projects.
- Certification in traffic control and safety management.
- Strong understanding of environmental regulations related to road marking materials.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and documentation tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar design software for interpreting roadway plans.
- Knowledge of GPS technology and automated painting equipment.
