Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Chief Flight Instructor to lead our flight training program at [$COMPANY_NAME]. Responsibilities
- Oversee the flight training curriculum, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and industry best practices
- Lead and mentor a team of flight instructors, providing guidance on instructional techniques, safety protocols, and student performance
- Develop and implement innovative training methodologies and assessment tools to enhance pilot skills and competencies
- Conduct regular evaluations of flight instructors and student progress, providing actionable feedback to drive performance improvement
- Collaborate with the management team to identify training needs and implement strategies for continuous program enhancement
- Act as a primary point of contact for regulatory agencies, ensuring all training activities meet required certifications and standards
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Commercial Pilot Certificate with Flight Instructor (CFI) rating and significant flight experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in flight instruction, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of FAA regulations and safety standards in aviation training
- Proven ability to develop and implement training programs that meet diverse learner needs
Preferred:
- Experience with advanced flight training technologies, including simulators and e-learning platforms
- ATP (Airline Transport Pilot) Certificate
- Master's degree in Aviation, Education, or a related field
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in flight training software and systems
- Familiarity with aviation safety management systems
- Experience with performance tracking and assessment tools
