Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated Junior Field Application Engineer to join our dynamic team at [$COMPANY_NAME]. Responsibilities
- Assist in the technical pre-sales process by understanding customer requirements and providing tailored solutions
- Work closely with the engineering team to develop and refine product demonstrations and presentations
- Provide on-site technical support during installations and troubleshooting sessions
- Gather customer feedback to inform product development and enhancements
- Participate in training sessions for customers and internal teams to ensure a deep understanding of product functionalities
- Document and report on customer interactions, technical issues, and solution outcomes
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- 0-2 years of experience in a technical support or engineering role, preferably in a customer-facing environment
- Familiarity with electronics, embedded systems, or software development principles
- Basic understanding of troubleshooting methodologies and problem-solving techniques
Preferred:
- Experience with programming languages such as Python or C++ is a plus
- Exposure to customer relationship management tools or software development life cycle processes
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Understanding of electronic components and systems
- Familiarity with software debugging tools and techniques
- Basic knowledge of network protocols and communications (TCP/IP, HTTP, etc.)
Soft Skills and Cultural Fit
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for providing exceptional customer service
