Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Fiberglass Fabrication Supervisor to oversee our fiberglass production processes. This role will be instrumental in ensuring quality control, optimizing fabrication techniques, and leading a team of skilled technicians to achieve operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of fiberglass materials and processes, as well as strong leadership capabilities to drive team performance.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily fiberglass fabrication activities, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
- Implement best practices in fiberglass manufacturing processes to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and skill development.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of production processes to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to provide input on product design for manufacturability and process feasibility.
- Manage inventory and procurement of fiberglass materials and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in fiberglass fabrication or a related field, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Proven expertise in fiberglass manufacturing processes, materials, and quality control methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred:
- Experience with advanced composite materials and manufacturing techniques.
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and methodologies.
- Relevant certifications in fiberglass fabrication or composites technology.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in using fabrication tools and equipment specific to fiberglass processes.
- Experience with CAD software for design and layout of fabrication processes.
- Familiarity with quality assurance tools and methodologies to ensure product integrity.
