Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Dental Assistant to join our innovative dental practice. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care while assisting our dental professionals with a variety of clinical and administrative tasks. Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during various procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow and patient comfort
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Manage patient records, including scheduling appointments and maintaining accurate treatment documentation
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care, fostering a culture of preventive dentistry
- Collaborate with dental team members to optimize patient care and improve practice efficiency
- Stay updated with the latest dental technologies and best practices to enhance service delivery
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 3+ years of experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting
- Current certification in Dental Assisting from an accredited program
- Strong knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and terminology
- Proficiency in managing patient records and scheduling
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients
Preferred:
- Experience with dental software systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft
- Certification in radiology and/or additional specialized training
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in using dental equipment and instruments
- Knowledge of infection control protocols and sterilization techniques
- Familiarity with dental imaging technologies, including digital X-rays
