Role Overview

Responsibilities

- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in reading instruction and literacy development
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master’s degree in Education, Reading, or related field
- Valid teaching certification with a specialization in literacy or reading
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in teaching or literacy intervention
- Strong knowledge of reading assessment tools and instructional strategies
Preferred:
- Experience in a diverse classroom setting with students from various backgrounds
- Familiarity with multi-sensory teaching approaches and technology-enhanced learning tools
- Certification in Orton-Gillingham or similar reading intervention programs
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in using educational technology tools for assessment and instruction
- Experience with data analysis to track student progress and inform instructional practices
- Knowledge of various reading intervention programs and curricula

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, parents, and faculty
