Role Overview
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Chief Criminal Investigator to lead our investigation division. In this critical role, you will oversee all criminal investigations, ensuring the effective collection and analysis of evidence while fostering a culture of integrity and professionalism within the team. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage criminal investigation operations, ensuring adherence to legal standards and best practices
- Develop and implement innovative investigative strategies to address complex criminal cases
- Oversee the analysis of investigative data and evidence, ensuring thorough documentation and reporting
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies, legal entities, and community stakeholders to advance investigations and community relations
- Mentor and train investigators, fostering professional development and a commitment to ethical practices
- Review case files and evidence to ensure comprehensive investigations and proper case management
- Prepare and present case findings to executive leadership and external stakeholders as needed
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 10+ years of experience in criminal investigations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Extensive knowledge of criminal law, investigative procedures, and evidence handling
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex investigations and achieving positive outcomes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions under pressure
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly
Preferred:
- Experience working with advanced investigative technologies and methodologies
- Familiarity with community policing and collaborative investigative practices
- Leadership experience in a multidisciplinary environment
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in investigative software and case management systems
