Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented CAD Program Coordinator to oversee and facilitate our Computer-Aided Design (CAD) programs. This role is critical in ensuring that our technical teams operate efficiently, coordinating project timelines, resources, and communication between stakeholders to deliver high-quality design outputs.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate CAD projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budget constraints
- Facilitate communication between design teams, project managers, and external stakeholders to align project goals
- Monitor project progress, identifying potential bottlenecks and implementing solutions to ensure project milestones are met
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including schedules, reports, and design specifications
- Assist in the development and implementation of CAD standards and best practices across the organization
- Provide training and support to team members on CAD software and tools, enhancing overall competency
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in project coordination, preferably within a CAD-focused environment
- Strong understanding of CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks) and design principles
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high attention to detail
Preferred:
- Experience with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello, Microsoft Project)
- Familiarity with building codes and regulations applicable to design projects
- Certification in project management (PMP or similar) is a plus
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in CAD software and 3D modeling tools
- Experience with data management systems for tracking project metrics and deliverables
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
