Role Overview
We are seeking a visionary and strategic Director of Community Mental Health Services to lead our initiatives in providing accessible and innovative mental health care within the community. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of mental health programs that cater to diverse populations while promoting wellness and recovery-oriented practices.
Responsibilities
Program Development and Management:
- Design and implement community mental health programs that align with best practices and evidence-based approaches.
- Lead a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals, ensuring high-quality service delivery and adherence to regulatory standards.
- Monitor program performance through data analysis and stakeholder feedback, adapting services as necessary to meet community needs.
Community Engagement and Advocacy:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community organizations, stakeholders, and local government to enhance mental health service accessibility.
- Advocate for policies and initiatives that support mental health awareness and destigmatization.
- Facilitate community outreach activities to educate the public on available mental health resources and support.
Leadership and Team Development:
- Mentor and develop staff through regular supervision, training, and performance evaluations, fostering a culture of professional growth and collaborative practice.

Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in mental health services, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of community mental health systems, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
Preferred:
- Licensure as a Mental Health Professional (e.g., LCSW, LPC, PsyD).
- Experience with grant writing and funding acquisition for mental health programs.
- Track record of successful program development and implementation in diverse communities.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and data management tools.
- Experience utilizing data analytics to inform program improvements and outcomes.
- Familiarity with telehealth platforms to enhance service delivery.
