Role Overview
We are seeking a Clinical Systems Manager to oversee and enhance our clinical information systems. This role is critical in ensuring the optimization of clinical workflows and the integration of technology in patient care processes, thereby improving overall operational efficiencies and patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation and maintenance of clinical information systems to ensure optimal functionality and usability across departments
- Collaborate with clinical staff and IT teams to identify system requirements and improvements, facilitating effective communication between stakeholders
- Develop and enforce best practices and protocols for system usage, data management, and compliance with healthcare regulations
- Analyze system performance and user feedback to drive continuous improvement initiatives and resolve issues proactively
- Provide training and support to clinical staff, ensuring they possess the knowledge and skills necessary to utilize systems effectively
- Manage system upgrades, testing, and integration of new technologies to enhance clinical operations
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Information Technology, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in healthcare IT management, specifically with clinical systems
- Proven expertise in project management and system implementation within clinical settings
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, data governance, and compliance standards
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in Health Informatics, Business Administration, or a related field
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems, clinical decision support systems, and interoperability frameworks
- Certifications such as Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS) or Certified Health Data Analyst (CHDA)
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in healthcare information systems, data management technologies, and analytics tools
- Experience with system integration and data exchange protocols (e.g., HL7, FHIR)
- Strong analytical skills and experience with clinical workflow optimization
