Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Lead Clinic Assistant to oversee the daily operations of our clinic while providing exceptional support to our healthcare professionals. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of care and service, collaborating closely with clinical staff to optimize workflow and enhance patient experiences.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate daily clinic operations, ensuring optimal staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, addressing inquiries and resolving concerns to enhance patient satisfaction
- Implement and maintain clinic procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Oversee patient intake processes, including registration, insurance verification, and medical history documentation
- Support clinical staff with administrative tasks, including managing patient records and scheduling appointments
- Train and mentor junior clinic assistants, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment
- Monitor clinic performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategic initiatives
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 3+ years of experience in a clinical or healthcare administrative role
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare operations
- Proven leadership abilities, with experience in team coordination and mentoring
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with a keen attention to detail
Preferred:
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical billing processes
- Certification as a Medical Assistant or similar credential
- Familiarity with patient management software and telehealth technologies
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word
- Experience with EHR systems, such as Epic or Cerner
- Ability to adapt to new technologies and software tools quickly
