Role Overview
We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Junior Child Psychologist to join our team. In this role, you will provide psychological support and assessments to children and their families, contributing to their emotional and mental well-being. You will work under the supervision of senior psychologists and participate in a collaborative environment aimed at promoting healthy development in children.
Responsibilities
- Conduct initial assessments and intake interviews to gather relevant information about children’s emotional and behavioral health.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with senior psychologists.
- Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to children and their families, adapting techniques to meet their unique needs.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes.
- Participate in regular supervision and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Engage with parents and caregivers to provide guidance and support, fostering a holistic approach to child development.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, or related field.
- Basic understanding of child development theories and therapeutic techniques.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
Preferred:
- Prior experience working with children in a clinical or educational setting.
- Familiarity with play therapy and other child-centered therapeutic approaches.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation.
- Basic understanding of psychological assessment tools and methodologies.
