Role Overview
We are seeking a passionate and innovative Sous Chef to join our culinary team. In this fully remote role, you will play a critical part in menu development, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and maintaining our culinary standards across various platforms. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to design and implement seasonal menus that reflect our brand identity
- Oversee food preparation and presentation, ensuring all dishes meet our quality and aesthetic standards
- Manage inventory, including sourcing high-quality ingredients and minimizing waste
- Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining an organized and sanitary kitchen environment
- Develop and refine recipes to enhance flavor profiles and dining experiences
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of culinary experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Proven track record of menu development and execution in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
Preferred:
- Culinary degree from an accredited institution
- Experience with diverse cuisines and dietary restrictions
- Familiarity with food cost control and budgeting
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in kitchen management software and inventory tracking systems
- Experience with innovative cooking techniques and equipment
- Strong knife skills and knowledge of food preparation methods
