Role Overview
We are looking for an accomplished Chief Pilot to lead our flight operations and ensure the highest standards of safety, compliance, and operational efficiency. In this strategic role, you will define and implement best practices in aviation management, oversee pilot recruitment and training programs, and cultivate a culture of safety and excellence throughout our organization.
Responsibilities
- Develop and enforce operational policies and procedures that align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
- Lead the recruitment, training, and ongoing professional development of flight crews, ensuring they meet or exceed performance benchmarks
- Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments, fostering a proactive safety culture among all flight operations personnel
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize flight scheduling, operational efficiency, and resource allocation
- Act as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance and maintain operational licenses
- Analyze flight data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and enhance operational effectiveness
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in aviation, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Commercial Pilot License (CPL) with instrument rating and a minimum of 3000 flight hours
- In-depth knowledge of aviation regulations, safety standards, and operational best practices
- Proven experience in managing flight operations and leading high-performing teams
Preferred:
- Experience with multi-aircraft operations and diverse flight environments
- Advanced training in aviation safety management or risk assessment
- Master’s degree in aviation management or related field
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in aviation management software and flight operations systems
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex flight data and performance metrics
- Familiarity with emerging technologies in aviation, including UAVs and automation
Soft Skills and Cultural Fit
- Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with a focus on mentorship and team development
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly
