Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Chief Pilot to lead our Charter Operations. In this key leadership role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance, and efficiency across all charter flights. You will oversee flight operations, manage pilot resources, and implement best practices to enhance operational excellence while maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of charter flight operations, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and company policies.
- Develop, implement, and maintain operational procedures and safety protocols to optimize flight operations.
- Oversee pilot recruitment, training, and performance management, ensuring a highly skilled team of aviators.
- Work closely with the operations team to coordinate flight schedules and optimize resource allocation.
- Conduct regular safety audits and operational reviews to identify areas for improvement.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a pilot, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within charter or commercial aviation.
- Current FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with type ratings on relevant aircraft.
- Proven track record of managing flight operations and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Strong understanding of aviation safety management systems and best practices.
Preferred:
- Experience with flight operations management software and tools.
- Advanced knowledge of operational risk management and safety assessment methodologies.
- Experience in managing multi-aircraft operations and diverse pilot teams.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- In-depth knowledge of aviation regulations, safety standards, and operational procedures.
- Proficiency in flight planning systems and aviation software.
- Familiarity with aviation maintenance practices and compliance requirements.
