Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Pesticide Program Manager to lead and execute our comprehensive pesticide management initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing programs that ensure the safe and effective use of pesticides while adhering to regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement pesticide management programs that align with the company’s sustainability goals and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct risk assessments to evaluate the environmental impact of pesticide usage and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish best practices for pesticide application and safety protocols.
- Engage with external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies and agricultural partners, to ensure alignment with industry standards.
- Develop training materials and conduct workshops for staff and partners on proper pesticide handling and application techniques.
- Monitor and analyze pesticide usage data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Stay updated on the latest research, regulations, and technologies related to pesticide management.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Agriculture, Biology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in pesticide management, agricultural science, or a related area.
- Strong knowledge of local and federal pesticide regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proven ability to develop, implement, and manage complex programs and projects.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Experience in stakeholder engagement and collaboration with regulatory bodies.
- Certifications related to pesticide application or management.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in data analysis and management software.
- Experience with geographic information systems (GIS) and environmental modeling tools.
- Familiarity with pesticide application technologies and safety equipment.
