Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Business Continuity Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing, implementing, and maintaining our business continuity plans, ensuring that our organization is prepared to effectively respond to disruptions while minimizing impact on operations. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify risks, analyze potential impacts, and develop comprehensive recovery strategies.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify critical business functions and potential vulnerabilities.
- Develop and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery plans that align with organizational goals and industry best practices.
- Facilitate business continuity training and awareness programs to ensure staff are prepared for emergencies.
- Lead the execution of business continuity exercises and simulations to evaluate the effectiveness of plans and identify areas for improvement.
- Monitor and analyze industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and relevance of continuity strategies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure integration of business continuity practices into daily operations and strategic planning.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in business continuity planning, disaster recovery, or risk management.
- Demonstrated understanding of business continuity frameworks such as ISO 22301 or NFPA 1600.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically under pressure.
Preferred:
- Professional certifications such as CBCP (Certified Business Continuity Professional) or similar.
- Experience in conducting business impact analyses and developing recovery strategies.
- Proficiency in business continuity management software and tools.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and business impact analysis techniques.
- Familiarity with data recovery technologies and incident response protocols.
- Proficient in reporting and documentation tools such as MS Office Suite and project management software.
