Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Master Carpenter to join our team at [$COMPANY_NAME]. Responsibilities
- Oversee and execute all stages of carpentry projects, from initial design and planning to final installation and finish work
- Interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical drawings to ensure accurate construction and adherence to safety standards
- Employ advanced woodworking techniques to construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood and other materials
- Mentor and train junior carpenters, promoting best practices in craftsmanship and safety
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other trades to ensure timely project delivery and resolve any on-site issues
- Conduct regular quality inspections of work performed and implement corrective measures as necessary
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum of 10 years of professional carpentry experience with a focus on high-end residential or commercial projects
- Proven track record of leading carpentry teams and managing complex projects from conception to completion
- Extensive knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and best practices in carpentry
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
Preferred:
- Certification from a recognized carpentry program or trade school
- Experience with project management software and tools
- Familiarity with sustainable building practices and materials
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in both rough and finish carpentry techniques
- Proficient in using a wide range of carpentry tools and machinery, including saws, drills, and CNC machines
- Ability to perform structural calculations and understand load-bearing capacities
