Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Lead Bagger to oversee our packaging operations. In this role, you will ensure that our products are bagged efficiently and maintain the highest quality standards. You will lead a team of baggers, coordinating with various departments to optimize workflow and enhance productivity.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and train a team of baggers in best practices for packaging and quality control
- Manage daily operations of the bagging area to ensure timely and accurate bagging of products
- Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for bagging processes
- Monitor product quality and ensure compliance with safety and health regulations
- Collaborate with logistics and inventory teams to manage stock levels and ensure efficient distribution
- Identify areas for improvement in the bagging process and lead initiatives to enhance efficiency
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in logistics or operations management is a plus
- 3+ years of experience in a packaging or manufacturing environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and quality assurance processes
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficient in using inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies
- Familiarity with automated packaging equipment
- Ability to analyze data to make informed decisions about process improvements
