Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Cloud Engineer to join our innovative engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable cloud solutions using AWS services. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize cloud infrastructure and implement best practices for security and cost management.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure cloud architectures using AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and VPC.
- Automate cloud infrastructure deployment using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
- Monitor and optimize the performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency of cloud resources.
- Collaborate with software development teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud services with applications.
- Conduct security assessments and implement best practices to safeguard cloud environments.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in designing and managing cloud solutions on AWS.
- Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- In-depth knowledge of AWS services, cloud architecture, and best practices.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts and security protocols.
Preferred:
- AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer.
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as AWS CloudWatch, Datadog, or Prometheus.
- Experience with database services including RDS, DynamoDB, or Aurora.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in AWS services and cloud architecture.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
- Understanding of Linux/Unix systems and administration.
