Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Paint Shop Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our remote paint shop team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality finishes on our products while managing a team of skilled painters and technicians. You will play a critical role in maintaining production schedules, ensuring safety protocols, and fostering a culture of excellence in our paint application processes.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the paint shop team, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards
- Develop and implement efficient workflows and processes to enhance productivity and minimize waste
- Conduct regular inspections of painted products to ensure compliance with quality specifications
- Provide training and mentorship to team members, promoting skill development and best practices in paint application
- Coordinate maintenance and calibration of painting equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Oversee inventory management of paint supplies and materials, ensuring adequate stock levels
- Implement safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for all team members
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and resolve any production issues
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in a supervisory role within a paint shop or similar environment
- Strong knowledge of paint application techniques, materials, and safety standards
- Proven ability to manage and motivate a diverse team effectively
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Preferred:
- Experience with automated painting systems and advanced coating technologies
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
- Certifications in safety management or paint technology
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in using paint shop management software and inventory tracking systems
- Knowledge of color matching and mixing techniques
- Familiarity with environmental regulations and compliance in paint operations
