Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Anesthesiologist Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this fully remote position, you will play a crucial role in supporting anesthesiologists in the delivery of anesthesia care. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout surgical procedures, while also collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality healthcare services.
Responsibilities
- Assist anesthesiologists in the administration of anesthesia and monitoring of patients during surgical procedures
- Conduct pre-anesthetic assessments, including evaluating patient history and medical conditions
- Manage and monitor patients' vital signs, ensuring stability and addressing any complications that arise
- Participate in the development of anesthesia care plans and provide input for patient-specific strategies
- Educate patients and their families about anesthesia processes, risks, and post-operative care
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards in anesthesia practice
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in Anesthesia or a related field
- Current certification as an Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) and active state licensure
- Strong understanding of pharmacology and physiology as it relates to anesthesia
- Experience in acute care settings or surgical environments
Preferred:
- 2+ years of experience as an Anesthesiologist Assistant
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth technologies
- Ability to work independently and make critical decisions in high-pressure situations
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in anesthesia administration techniques and monitoring equipment
- Experience with anesthesia information management systems (AIMS)
- Knowledge of relevant medical software and telehealth platforms
