Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Actuarial Analyst to join our dynamic team, where you will leverage your analytical skills to evaluate risk and contribute to our data-driven decision-making processes. In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure sound actuarial practices and methodologies are applied across our projects.
Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed actuarial analyses, including pricing, reserving, and forecasting, utilizing statistical models and software
- Support the development and validation of actuarial models, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards
- Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations for stakeholders, clearly communicating complex actuarial concepts
- Collaborate with underwriting and finance teams to align pricing strategies with overall business objectives
- Participate in the development of new products by providing actuarial insights and recommendations
- Continuously monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to inform actuarial practices
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
- At least 2 years of experience in an actuarial role, with a demonstrated understanding of actuarial principles
- Progress towards professional actuarial credentials (ASA, ACAS, or equivalent)
- Strong proficiency in statistical software and tools (e.g., R, Python, Excel) for data analysis
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the insurance or financial services sectors
- Familiarity with predictive modeling techniques and their application in pricing and risk assessment
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in using actuarial software and databases
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to present findings
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks impacting actuarial practices
