Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Chief Actuary to join the leadership team at [$COMPANY_NAME]. Responsibilities

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, underwriting, and operations, to ensure alignment of actuarial practices with business objectives
- Communicate complex actuarial concepts and findings to non-technical stakeholders, including the board of directors, in a clear and actionable manner
- Oversee the preparation of actuarial reports and analyses for regulatory submissions and internal stakeholders
- Mentor and develop junior actuarial staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) or equivalent professional designation
- 10+ years of progressive actuarial experience, with a strong background in pricing, reserving, and risk management
- Proven track record of leadership within an actuarial function, with experience managing teams and projects
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into strategic insights
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
Preferred:
- Experience in the insurance or financial services industry
- Familiarity with data analytics tools and programming languages such as R, Python, or SQL
- Experience with predictive modeling and advanced actuarial techniques
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Deep knowledge of actuarial methodologies, principles, and practices
- Proficiency in actuarial software and tools
- Experience with data visualization tools and statistical analysis software
