Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join [$COMPANY_NAME]'s finance team. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring adherence to GAAP
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls to support compliance and mitigate financial risks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights that drive business performance and strategic initiatives
- Conduct variance analysis and reporting to inform management on financial performance and budget adherence
- Prepare for and coordinate external audits, ensuring timely completion and resolution of any findings
- Mentor and develop accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in accounting, with a focus on financial reporting and compliance
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting regulations
- Proven experience in managing teams and driving process improvements
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights
Preferred:
- CPA or CMA certification
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- Prior experience in a supervisory role within a fast-paced environment
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling
- Experience with accounting software and ERP systems
- Familiarity with data analysis tools and techniques
