Position Overview

As a Junior Interactive Technologist, you'll be immersed in coding and debugging tasks, working closely with the team to implement web solutions for our clients. Gain hands-on experience, contribute to projects, and refine your skills with mentorship within our dynamic development environment.

As a Junior Interactive Technologist , you will provide critical support to fulfilling the mission of Zero Studios with an opportunity to help challenge and define best practices. An entrepreneurial spirit and business-oriented focus are important. This position plays a pivotal role in contributing to website projects including, prototyping, front-end development, content management hook-up, and QA.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Approach every project with a clear purpose and ensure all executions meet business and user goals (performance, conversion, overall quality)
  • Take a detail-oriented approach with project planning and development
  • Utilize collaborative process with the design team to finesse the interaction model of the site
  • Consider accessibility, and SEO best-practices when developing templates
  • Address technical challenges and constraints with an open mind, exploring what's possible
  • Work with small-to-medium, multi-disciplinary teams toward the common goal of executing on-brief strategic goals
  • Keep each project/site organized, over communicate, avoid assumptions, and forecast risks to provide a plan of action to ensure both design and client expectations are met and ideally exceeded
  • Carry an intrinsic motivation toward key aspects of the role and importance of process and collaboration


Skills & Competencies

  • Proficient knowledge of Front-End core languages a requirement (HTML, CSS, ES6+ JavaScript)
  • Experience in Svelte/SvelteKit or similar (NextJs, Nuxt)
  • Familiarity with Vercel or other similar cloud hosting platforms
  • Understanding of working with/developing APIs (GraphQL, REST)
  • Familiarity with SCSS/Tailwind

Experience

  • 1-3 years of experience building web projects. Ecommerce (Shopify) and Agency experience are preferred.

Reporting Structure

  • This position reports to the Technical Lead

Full Time Benefits

  • Annual salary range between $50,000 - $65,000 determined by experience
