The AI Agent Development Project Manager (L7) is a senior delivery leader who owns end‑to‑end execution of AI‑augmented software programs. With 12–16 years of experience, this role blends hands-on AI agent development with program management and people leadership. You will start by managing an AI engineering team and grow the organization to include infrastructure, data, integration, and application teams (front‑end and back‑end). You’ll partner closely with Growth, Solution Delivery, Finance, and HR to plan. and deliver outcomes on time, on budget, and in compliance with client and industry requirements.
Core Responsibilities
● Lead a hands‑on AI engineering team initially; expand leadership to multi‑disciplinary groups across infrastructure, data, integration, and full‑stack application development.
● Translate business objectives into roadmaps and increment plans; manage scope, dependencies, risk/issue logs, and cross‑team alignment.
● Partner with Solution Architecture to shape designs for agent frameworks, tool‑use, retrieval, workfl ow orchestration, guardrails, and evaluation harnesses.
● Create transparent reporting for executives and clients (OKRs, delivery health, value realization); steward escalations to resolution.
- 12–16 years of professional experience delivering software solutions with increasing scope; 5+ years leading multi‑team programs or consulting delivery.
● Hands‑on background building AI agents or LLM‑enabled applications (tool‑use, retrieval, function calling, structured outputs, evaluation/telemetry).● Hands-on experience coordinating cross-functional teams (engineering, data, MLOps, design, QA, security, infrastructure) and external partners.
● Profi ciency in Agile/Lean delivery, roadmapping, dependency management, and executive communication.
● Background in software development (e.g., Python/TypeScript) and ability to engage deeply on agent/LLM technical decisions.
● Ability to engage deeply with engineers on design/implementation decisions while managing risks, timelines, and budgets.
● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fi eld, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Experience
● Experience with regulated or high-compliance environments (e.g., healthcare, life sciences, fi nancial services) and privacy-preserving designs. Background in clinical research is a plus.
● Demonstrated delivery of AI agent/RAG solutions.
● Track record scaling agent platforms (multi-tenant controls, feature fl ags, policy enforcement, service quotas).
● Pre-sales experience: discovery, estimation, solution shaping, and SOW/contracting.
● Certifi cations or advanced study in AI/ML, MLOps, or cloud (Azure/AWS/GCP).

Software Engineers and related roles are expected to demonstrate familiarity with one or more tools, languages, or frameworks in each of the following categories:

● Programming & Data: Python, TypeScript/JavaScript; data processing with Pandas/PySpark; embeddings and vector search; SQL/NoSQL.
● Model Ops & Serving: vLLM, TGI, Ollama; Triton/KServe; LoRA/adapters; prompt/version control; cost and latency optimization.
● Observability & Telemetry: Langfuse, Arize/Phoenix, OpenTelemetry for LLMs; traces, metrics, logs; prompt/model analytics and feedback loops.
● Security & Governance: secrets management, key isolation, content fi ltering, policy engines (OPA), PII/PHI handling, RBAC/ABAC, audit trails.
● Dev & Delivery Tooling: GitHub (Projects, Actions), GitHub Copilot (Chat/Agents), Jira/Azure Boards, Confl uence/Notion, feature fl ags.
● Cloud & Platforms: Kubernetes (AKS/EKS/GKE/K3s), Helm, Terraform/Pulumi; serverless runtimes; message buses/queues; caching layers.
