Position Summary:
Xpansiv Ltd is seeking a Java Technical Lead to lead design, development, and implementation of software for the company’s Environmental Markets Solutions product line
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of developers, located in India and, perhaps, Poland to implement externally facing front-end, middle-tier, and back-end components of new applications/services and/or enhancements to existing systems
- As technical lead, oversee allocation of work to team members to work tasks, monitor progress against plan, work with pertinent stakeholders to resolve issues, etc.
- Work with architects and other stakeholders (for example, product managers) located in the United States
- Work with product managers on issues or questions related to system requirements.
- In addition to management responsibilities, perform coding and design – it is expected that there will be 50%/50% split between hands-on development work and management responsibilities.
- Create highly optimized, scalable, redundant and distributed software
- Deliver manageable, modular code, along with automated unit tests
- Help release and maintain code as well as resolve issues that arise in Production
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent from an accredited college or university
- 10+ years development experience with Java/Java Enterprise technologies
- 7+ years of experience as technical lead leading implementation of projects of material size
- Solid computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, multi-threaded programming, etc.
- Successful development of scalable, high-performance and distributed services
Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including fluency in English
- Exceptional attention to detail and time management
- Ability to manage work allocations to team members with varying skillsets
- Ability to manage execution of a project over time while managing to hard deadlines
- Be a self-starter and work well independently as well as in a collaborative team environment
- Comfortable interacting with executive team members and cross-department
- Ability to quickly absorb business, technical, and market concepts
- Proven ability to execute calmly under tight deadlines
- Demonstrated problem solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Experience doing development using Java 8 or above
- Experience with running services on Spring Boot
- Experience with web standards such as HTTP and REST
- Experience with Object Oriented and Service Oriented Architectures as well as with design patterns
- Experience with client and server-side automated unit testing frameworks (e.g. JUnit)

Base Salary
Compensation for this role will vary among specific regions due to geographic differentials in the labor market, actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, knowledge, education and training. However, compensation range for this role is expected to be as follows:
$190,000-$220,000
