Senior DevOps Lead

Worldly is seeking a highly experienced Senior DevOps Lead to take ownership of our infrastructure and lead our transition from purely external DevOps services to a hybrid internal & external team model. The ideal candidate has a strong background in network and *nix systems operations and software engineering, and has settled into DevOps as their current passion. You'll report directly to the VP of Engineering and have an immediate impact on infrastructure stability, security posture, and operational excellence across our AWS-based platform.

Requirements

• 10+ years of DevOps/SRE experience with at least 3 years in a lead or senior role
• Deep expertise in AWS services including ECS/EKS, EC2, S3, databases, networking, and security
• Strong Terraform experience—you write clean, modular, reusable IaC
• Hands-on experience with container orchestration (ECS/EKS)
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS CodeBuild)
• Experience with monitoring and observability platforms (DataDog, CloudWatch)
• Experience with multiple production database technologies such as CouchDB/MongoDb, OpenSearch, PostgreSQL in production environments
• Strong understanding of network architecture, security best practices, and systems operations
• Proven ability to lead teams through both project definition and technical execution
• Excellent communication skills—you can translate technical concepts for various audiences
• Self-starter mentality with ability to work independently and drive initiatives to completion
