TheData Product Analystrole with theGovernment of Albertasupports the Digital Regulatory Assurance System (DRAS), a major modernization initiative focused on improving regulatory and environmental data processes. The role involves designing and building scalable data pipelines and architectures using Microsoft Azure technologies such as Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, and Data Lake Storage. The analyst will integrate data from multiple sources, transform it using Python and SQL, and create high-quality, analytics-ready datasets to support reporting, compliance, and decision-making. Additionally, the role emphasizes implementing strong data governance, security, and privacy practices, while leveraging AI tools to enhance automation, efficiency, and code quality. Requirements
- Post-secondary degree/diploma in Computer Science or related field
- 3+ years experience with Azure services
- Azure Data Factory
- Azure Databricks
- Azure Synapse
- 3+ years building scalable data pipelines
- 3+ years designing analytics-ready data platforms
- 2+ years in data governance, security, and metadata management
- 4+ years using Git/GitHub for version control
- 5+ years hands-on experience with Python and SQL
- 1+ year experience using AI tools (automation, code generation, analysis)
