About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Java Developer to join a forward-thinking technology company that is driving innovation across its sector. This is a fully remote position within the UK, offering the flexibility to work from home whilst being part of a collaborative and supportive engineering team.
The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining high-quality software applications, contributing to both greenfield and existing projects. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable, and efficient solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, test, and maintain high-performance Java applications.
Contribute to architectural decisions and technical design discussions.
Ensure code quality through reviews, testing, and best practices.
Collaborate with product managers, QA, and fellow developers to deliver features on time.
Stay up to date with emerging technologies and bring innovative ideas to the team.
Skills & Experience
Strong commercial experience with Java (8/11/17) and Spring Boot.
Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud-based applications (AWS or Azure).
Proficiency with databases (SQL and NoSQL).
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git).
Experience working in an Agile environment.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Desirable (Not Essential)
Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerisation tools.
Knowledge of front-end technologies (JavaScript, React, Angular) would be beneficial.
