The Collective is the leading organization in sports solely focused on advocating for and advancing the power of women. With Wasserman’s expansion into music and entertainment and opportunity to scale our reach across the world, this position is focused on the marketing of The Collective globally and responsible for the growth, development and engagement of our community – executives, academics, students, government officials etc. across all verticals and geographies of our business. Primary role is to develop and execute comprehensive, unified, strategic global marketing and event plans that create awareness, engagement, impact and growth of The Collective. This plan should encompass:

  • Marketing The Collective’s brand, good work, impact and research through campaigns, events, communications, partnerships and events.
  • This role will be responsible for understanding and developing our global community and how each segment of that community needs to be served
  • Lead the development and implementation of innovative global campaigns, initiatives, and partnerships to amplify The Collective’s leadership position in women’s equity.
  • Support the publishing of our research reports by leading the extended communications team in each launch.
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, organizations, athletes, artists, entertainers, influencers, and brands to expand The Collective’s reach and impact.
  • Establish and utilize data-driven insights to drive decision-making and measure the effectiveness of marketing efforts.
  • Manage the teams who create and foster compelling content, including but not limited to social media, op eds, newsletters, and events to inspire, educate, and drive change for women.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, including “product,” design, events, platforms, and operations, to ensure alignment in community-centered initiatives and strategies.
  • Act as a spokesperson and advocate for The Collective and its community, representing its values and goals in various forums and events.

This role must sit in our Raleigh or Boston office and work a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities:

Defining and Building Community:

  • Develop and implement strategies to cultivate and expand a global community of advocates passionate about gender equality.
  • Create engaging content, events, and initiatives to inspire, educate, and mobilize community members towards collective action in sports, music, and entertainment.
  • Establish and manage tracking and messaging of global network through CRM process.

Global Connection and Partnerships:

  • Cultivate, articulate, and execute The Collective’s role in strategic partnerships, sponsorships and alliances with organizations, influencers, and stakeholders worldwide to amplify our impact.
  • Identify, articulate and, where necessary, represent The Collective’s role in global forums, conferences, and networking events to forge meaningful connections and collaborations.

Marketing Strategy, Social Media, and Communications:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing and communications strategies that integrate social media, events and communications to amplify our message and drive engagement.
  • Support the launch of client led collaborations or thought leadership.
  • Oversee the creation of compelling content across various social media platforms, ensuring consistent messaging and brand identity.
  • Responsible for the organization's digital presence, including website content, email marketing, and social media channels.

Data-Driven Insights:

  • Utilize data analytics and market research to derive insights, track performance, develop KPIs and inform decision-making for events, marketing, social media, and communication initiatives.

New Business Development:

  • Through community building initiatives, assist in the identification and pursuit of new business opportunities aligned with our mission and values.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to develop marketing strategies that drive business growth and revenue generation.

Team Leadership and Collaboration:

  • Lead and mentor junior employees (Manager), fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Collaborate closely with talent department (sports, music, and entertainment) to support The Collective initiatives and gender equality toolkits.

Client Support

  • Support brands and properties work as relevant.

Requirements

Base salary: $95,000-$95,000 plus bonus potential.

Actual base salary is dependent on several factors including but not limited to; market dynamics, location and region, experience, specialized skills/training (education), level of responsibility, budgetary considerations, tenure at the company (for current employees), etc. The salary range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Compensation decisions are dependent on circumstances of each hire.
