The right person works closely with senior attorneys and cross-functional partners across product, engineering, marketing, security, and international business teams. This person focuses on supporting implementation, research, drafting, and day-to-day advisory work in a fast-paced, global retail environment.

What you'll do...

  • Assist in reviewing new product features for privacy considerations.
  • Help analyze issues relating to cookies, pixels, SDKs, consent management platforms, and passive data collection technologies.
  • Contribute to internal guidance on AI/ML systems and automated decision-making tools under supervision.
Commercial Contracting Support
  • Review and assist in drafting data processing agreements (DPAs) and vendor privacy terms.
  • Support contract review for technology and SaaS agreements involving personal data.

  • Help track and document cross-border data transfer mechanisms (e.g., SCCs, IDTAs).
Governance & Training
  • Assist in developing and updating privacy training materials.
  • Help prepare internal compliance presentations.
  • Support privacy program documentation and tracking metrics.
  • Contribute to internal playbooks and guidance documents.
What you'll bring…
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.), license to practice law and membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar.
  • Minimum of 5 years of legal experience, with significant expertise in global privacy law and regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience advising on enterprise compliance programs, data protection strategies, and risk management in large-scale operations.
  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to explain complex legal concepts in clear, actionable terms.
  • Strategic thinking with a business-centered, pragmatic, solutions-oriented approach.
  • Strong judgment and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Passion for privacy, consumer trust, and building responsible innovation.
  • Strong judgment, ownership, and clarity in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
  • Ability to make well-reasoned, risk-based decisions without complete information and take accountability for outcomes, not just provide analysis.
  • Ability to distill complex legal and regulatory issues into clear, practical guidance and to operate with a bias toward timely, decisive action.
  • Comfort partnering closely with product, engineering, and business teams, balancing legal risk with business objectives in a pragmatic, solutions-oriented manner.
  • Confidence making decisions and moving matters forward
