Who We Are:

Cimpress Technology develops cutting-edge, best-in-world software that our mass customization businesses use to create personalized products for millions of global customers. Our Mass Customization Platform consists of modular, multi-tenant services. Our businesses include a dozen brands such as Vistaprint, National Pen and BoxUp. These businesses can choose the solutions that work for them, or assemble any custom combination they need. This makes it easier and faster to do things like introduce new products, reach customers and track orders. And this kind of innovation keeps customers coming back. Just last year, Cimpress generated $3.2B in revenue through customized print products, signage, apparel, packaging and more.

About the Fulfillment Domain

We’re an engineering team of 110 people who work directly with our Product Management and stakeholders in manufacturing facilities across the globe. Our software is used to build the right solutions, the right way, so we can continuously deliver high quality custom products on time to fulfill our end customer's orders. It is an excellent time to join as we are undertaking a strategic reimagination in the Fulfillment Domain, intending to combine and modernize the architecture of its two main Manufacturing Information Systems solutions along with an update to the core Shipping and Logistics capabilities.

What You Will Do:

As a Senior DevOps Engineer (PR2) on the Fulfillment Architecture team, you will have a critical role in ensuring we are providing the right services and systems to keep us on the cutting edge into the future. We’re seeking someone who is passionate about automation and is comfortable in the selection, implementation, management, administration, and operation of these systems.

In this role, you will help Cimpress companies to succeed by:

  • Maintaining and implementing tools for our manufacturing and development teams

  • Architecting simple, operable, secure and scalable infrastructure in a Hybrid Cloud

  • Documenting to promote modern operations and development practices

While candidates should have a strong technical background, they should also possess excellent communication and customer service skills.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Contribute to the architecture, design, implementation, delivery and maintenance of solutions provided by the team.

  • Develop repeatable tools and processes to enable global manufacturing sites to maximize production efficiency and uptime.

  • Build internal tools and processes to enable MIS Development teams to deploy, manage, and monitor their own applications.

  • Participate in on-call escalations to troubleshoot customer facing issues.

  • Actively participate in high-level team activities such as suggesting architecture improvements, recommending process improvements and conducting tool evaluations.

  • Champion continuous improvement within the organization.

  • Identify opportunities for automation tasks and implement solutions accordingly.

  • Work with developers building services in the cloud to empower them operationally.

Your Qualifications:

  • BS/BA in a computer science field or equivalent work experience.

  • 3+ years experience in a DevOps / SRE / DevSecOps engineering role.

  • Expertise with Amazon Web Services (AWS). Certification preferred, but not required.

  • Familiarity with a constantly evolving list of technologies, currently: Cloud development (AWS required, GCP, Azure), CI/CD (GitLab, Octopus Deploy, GitHub), Logging (New Relic, CloudWatch, SumoLogic), Service Catalog (Cortex), Escalation (CloudWatch, PagerDuty), Security (Synk, GitLab SAST), Communication (Slack, Grafana, Looker).

  • Working experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Cloudformation, AWS CDK).

  • Experience with modern administrative scripting or programming languages to automate repeatable processes and execute changes (Python, Powershell, Bash).

  • Familiar with developing RESTful web services and web-based interfaces in cloud environments and the authentication / authorization mechanisms to make a secure API call.

  • Success working remotely in a global organization and sharing information asynchronously.

  • Effective communication skills since your team works with a lot of other humans, many of which aren't technologists.

  • Passion for support and helping others understand the values of solid operational practices.

  • Ability to travel globally to meet occasionally as a team or visit our manufacturing sites.

Speciality Qualifications:

We value broad knowledge across all the components our DevOps engineers touch daily, but if you have deeper expertise in these areas, they will stand out on our team.

  • Experience with database technologies like Microsoft SQL Server, DynamoDB, MongoDB and associated monitoring tools (RedGate). DB operations skills like creating and maintaining database servers; data integrity; and consulting with stakeholders on performance issues.

  • Experience with managing on-premise datacenters and connecting the physical systems that must remain to services located in the AWS cloud.

  • Experience with implementing DevSecOps practice that engineers will find simple to understand and non-intrusive to their ability to write code.

If the above sounds interesting to you don’t hesitate to apply, we look forward to hearing from you!
