Intern Scala Engineer
Project scope: We are working on making the Scala ecosystem a better place for developers. This involves changing Scala 3 compiler, working on Metals or other key parts of the ecosystem. We are working closely with Martin’s Odersky team at EPFL and Scala Center.
Tech stack: Scala (2 and 3), VS Code, coursier
Team: 8 engineers split into specialized sub-teams

What we expect in general
Knowledge and experience with Scala and its ecosystem
Experience in building microservice applications, preferably with Akka or Cats or ZIO
Good understanding of at least one public cloud (GCP / AWS / Azure)
Experience with working SQL (e.g. Postgres)
Excellent communication skills and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving
Ability to work as a part of a team and communicate well
