Trainer
Summary of Position:
The Trainer is responsible for developing and conducting training programs for new and existing associates. This position reports to the Director of Talent Development. This role is expected to work with employees across all locations, time zones and may be required to travel.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conducts new hire orientation and training for all staff through remote channels
- Engage with new hires and internal associates ensuring a positive first impression of Verisma
- Communicate regularly with Talent Development team regarding new hires, specifically classroom activities/trends/concerns
- Collaborates with management to develop training content for staff in all locations paying special attention to recurring compliance issues
- Works to coordinate remote and on-site training schedules
- Develops and documents training outlines determining instructional methods such as individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings, and workshops
- Selects and develops teaching aids such as virtual training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials and reference works
- Conducts training sessions covering specified areas such as on-the-job training, refresher training, etc.
- Reports on progress of employees training completion
- Travel to various locations to lead on-site training programs as needed
- Develops strong relationships with internal customers to support the development of new course materials
- Track and document compliance performance issues
- Monitor’s training programs for effectiveness
- Supports learning management system (LMS) administration for content creation, assignments and tracking
- Run and disseminate weekly compliance reports to ensure all coursework is completed for new hires
- Reviews existing training materials produced by third parties to determine appropriateness and relevance for Verisma audience
- Monitors and tracks course enrollment
- Specialize in the ROI industry as a SME while keeping current on the activities and needs of the industry including familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs) and other platforms
- Maintain a keen understanding of training trends, developments and best practices
- Promote and live by Verisma’s core values
- Additional duties as required by business needs
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferred
- RHIA/RHIT certification preferred
- Preferred 2 years’ experience in an on-site training role within the healthcare, electronic records or technology space
- Maintain flexible scheduling to accommodate trainings spanning across US time zones (EST to PST)
- Ability to travel up to 5%, as needed
- Communicate effectively across cross-functional departments keeping information channels open

- Strong written communication skills ensuring appropriate documentation of course materials
- Self-motivated and results-oriented while working with minimal supervision
- Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively
