Senior Manager – Contracts & Pricing

As Senior Manager – Contracts & Pricing in our Sales Operations function within the Spine division, you’ll lead a high-impact team responsible for developing, negotiating, and managing national IDN, GPO, and hospital system agreements—driving pricing discipline, rebate and administrative fee strategies, contracting excellence, and financial performance to support strategic growth and long-term health system relationships.
What You’ll Do:
Team Leadership & Capability Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of contracts and pricing professionals focused on enterprise agreements, pricing strategy, administrative fees, and rebate execution
- Set clear priorities, performance expectations, operating cadences, and accountability measures to deliver consistent, high-quality results
- Build scalable processes, tools, training programs, and governance frameworks to elevate team capabilities in contracting, pricing, and rebate administration
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture centered on accountability, continuous improvement, and cross-functional partnership
Contract Strategy & Governance
- Oversee the full lifecycle of national and regional enterprise agreements, ensuring alignment with strategic, financial, and commercial objectives
- Establish and enforce contracting standards, approval workflows, governance processes, and escalation protocols
- Provide senior-level direction on complex, high-value, or non-standard agreements, including risk assessment and resolution of escalations
- Ensure all contract terms align with pricing strategy, administrative fee structures, rebate commitments, and corporate/legal policies
Pricing, Administrative Fees & Rebate Strategy
- Lead the development and execution of competitive pricing strategies for IDN, GPO participation, and hospital system agreements
- Design, govern, and optimize administrative fee structures and rebate programs tied to enterprise contracts
- Guide Sales and cross-functional partners in structuring financially sound deals that balance competitiveness, margin protection, and incentive alignment
- Evaluate and approve non-standard pricing, fee, or rebate requests with thorough financial, risk, and compliance analysis
- Promote pricing consistency and incentive discipline while preserving strategic flexibility for key priority accounts
Performance & Financial Oversight
- Direct team monitoring of contract performance, margin realization, administrative fee obligations, rebate exposure, and overall financial health
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to pricing leakage, margin erosion, fee discrepancies, and rebate compliance gaps
- Partner closely with Finance on forecasting, accruals, payment accuracy, reconciliations, and financial reporting for fees and rebates
- Deliver executive-level insights, dashboards, and performance analysis on contract portfolio, incentive spend, and financial exposure
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Act as a senior strategic partner to Sales, Market Access, Legal, Finance, and Commercial Leadership on enterprise contracting, pricing, fees, and rebate matters
- Align contracting and pricing strategies with national accounts priorities, commercialization plans, and company growth initiatives
- Influence senior-level decision-making through data-driven recommendations, market insights, and strong stakeholder management
Process & Portfolio Optimization
- Drive continuous improvement to contract templates, pricing tools, workflows, and rebate/fee management systems
- Establish consistent standards for data management, tracking, reporting, and visibility across the contract portfolio
- Ensure audit readiness, regulatory compliance, transparency, and adherence to internal policies
- Analyze trends across IDN, GPO, and hospital agreements to inform future pricing, fee, and rebate strategies
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required (MBA strongly preferred)
- 10+ years of progressive experience in contracts, pricing, rebate management, deal desk, commercial finance, or related functions
- 3+ years of leadership experience managing teams in a high-stakes commercial environment
- Proven track record supporting IDN, GPO, or hospital system agreements in healthcare, medical devices, or life sciences (strongly preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, build scalable processes, and influence cross-functional senior stakeholders
- Strong financial acumen, analytical skills, and expertise in contract interpretation, incentive structures, administrative fees, and rebate programs
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to operate at executive levels
- Proficiency with contract management systems, pricing tools, ERP platforms, and advanced Excel/analytics capabilities
- Strategic mindset with a focus on compliance, risk management, pricing discipline, and commercial impact

Compensation:
Pay for this role is competitive and based on experience, qualifications, leadership scope, and performance. The typical pay range for this position is $150,000.00 - $180,000.00 annually, with significant potential for bonuses, incentives, and long-term incentives plus benefits. Final compensation is determined on a case-by-case basis and considers a variety of factors including experience level, skillset, industry expertise, and market conditions.
