As a Solution Architect at Twisto, you will shape the architecture of our next-generation fintech platform. This is not a theoretical role - you will work hands-on with engineering teams to design scalable, secure, and resilient systems powering payments, BNPL, cards, and risk.

Architecture & System Design

• Designing and maintaining end-to-end architecture for Twisto’s core services (BNPL, payments, card issuing, risk).

• Translating business and product requirements into well-defined technical designs, API specifications, and integration blueprints.

• Establishing patterns for a modern, event-driven, microservices-based ecosystem.

Real Twisto Challenges You’ll Work On

• Supporting our Twisto V2 transformation - migrating from legacy components to a distributed, event-driven microservice architecture.

• Defining the integration framework for PSPs, banks, card processors, and merchant partners.

• Shaping the architecture for card lifecycle, tokenization, settlement, and issuing processes.

• Contributing to the new BNPL and consumer-lending engine, including instalments, repayment logic, and credit line management.

• Helping modernize internal financial systems such as ledger, reconciliation, and reporting pipelines.

Technical Leadership

• Setting architecture standards, coding guidelines, and reviewing critical designs.

• Providing guidance to engineering teams and ensuring strong architecture governance.

• Driving alignment across Product, IT, Risk, Data, and external vendors.

Security, Compliance & Scalability

• Ensuring all systems adhere to fintech security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.

• Supporting technical due diligence and architecture readiness for new markets and product expansion.

• Ensuring our roadmap aligns with Twisto’s strategic goals: profitability, European expansion, and product diversification.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in solution or enterprise architecture (fintech or financial services preferred).

• Hands-on experience working closely with engineering teams (not purely conceptual work).

• Strong knowledge of payments, cards, BNPL, wallets, or consumer lending systems.

• Proven ability to design scalable, resilient, distributed systems (microservices, APIs, event-driven, cloud-native).

• Practical experience integrating with payment networks, card issuers/processors, mobile wallets, and risk/credit scoring systems.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills - ability to explain complex topics in simple terms.

• Solid understanding of fintech security, compliance, and regulatory frameworks (e-money, credit risk, privacy).

• Ability to operate in a fast-changing scale-up environment with evolving market requirements.
