About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced freelance songwriter for a short-term project. The task involves creating a unique song in a style similar to contemporary folk-pop artists. This collaborative opportunity requires one to two days of focused work, with the goal of completing the composition by this summer.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the singer to understand their vision and musical preferences
• Compose original lyrics and melody for a song in the folk-pop genre
• Create a song structure that complements the singer's style and vocal range
• Develop chord progressions and harmonies that enhance the overall composition
• Provide a demo recording of the song for the reference

Requirements

• Proven experience as a songwriter, particularly in the folk-pop genre
• Strong understanding of contemporary folk-pop music trends and styles
• Ability to create emotionally resonant and lyrically compelling song
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration
• Ability to work efficiently and creatively under time constraints
