Duration: 3-4 weeks (short-term engagement)
We are looking for an experienced Tableau Administrator. The role involves planning and executing the migration of Tableau environments to a new data center with minimal disruption to development and production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a migration plan for building new Tableau servers in a new data center
- Ensure minimal impact on existing development and production environments (including potential reuse of legacy server names)
- Set up and configure:
- 1 Non-Production Tableau Server
- 1 Production Tableau Cluster (5 servers)
- Document server architecture, migration plan, and timelines
- Execute migration of the non-production environment
- Provide post-migration support and perform necessary adjustments
- Execute migration of the production environment
- Provide post-migration support and stabilization
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Tableau Administrator
- Hands-on experience with Tableau Server installation, configuration, and maintenance
- Experience with Tableau Server migrations (on-premise or cloud/data center transitions)
- Strong understanding of Tableau architecture and clustering
- Ability to plan and execute migrations with minimal downtime
- Strong documentation and communication skills
Nice to Have:
- Experience with large-scale or multi-node Tableau environments
- Experience with infrastructure migrations or data center transitions
