The Role

We are looking for a Partnerships Development Manager to develop our approach to,and implement a comprehensivepartnershipdevelopment plan,aligning with ourlonger termstrategic aims.Youllcollaborateacross the organisation to understandbusinessaims andobjectives, and with one eye on the external marketyoullhelp to find solutions throughseeking new opportunities and in turndeveloping key newrelationshipswith organisations. You will be skilled in research and prospecting fornew business development opportunities, performing the due diligence required and in developing mutually beneficial relationships with key partners which will enable us to deliver for our audiences and achieve ourlong-termplans

What you'll do

  • Collaborate withstakeholders across the charity tounderstand keybusinessaims andobjectives.
  • Scan the external landscape toidentifystrategic partnership opportunities that strengthen service delivery, influencesystemsand improve outcomes for deaf children and their families.
  • Prospect both warm and cold relationships forpotential partnersto help NDCS achieve our goals.
  • Use your keen research skills toperform due diligence to ensurepotential partners arecompatible with our aims and our values.
  • Make strong decisionsregardingwhich partnerships to take forward and which to not progress based on insight.
  • Develop mutually beneficial relationships with new andexistingpartners to enable NDCS to deliver against strategic plans.

What you'll need

  • Proven experiencein developing new business from prospecting to partnership.
  • Strong research skills and a demonstrable ability to perform due diligence to ensure partners are aligned with NDCS values.
  • Proven ability to manage risk effectively making tough decisions based on insight.
  • Experience in developing warm and cold relationships and partnerships to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes which meet NDCSs strategic goals.
  • Experience indeveloping a strategic approach to new business,performing market and competitoranalysisand using this insight to inform your decision making.
  • Strong digital skills and a sound understanding of agile values principles .
  • A criminal record check / DBS disclosure (if offered the position).

The National Deaf Children's Society are the leading charity for deaf children. We give expert support on childhood deafness, raise awareness and campaign for deaf children's rights, so they have the same opportunities as everyone else.
