Remote Senior Short-Form Video Editor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Remote Senior Short-Form Video Editor to join our social media agency and lead the production of high-performing Instagram Reels and TikTok content. This full-time role is responsible for transforming raw footage into premium short-form videos through advanced editing techniques, including complex transitions, sound design, motion elements, animations, and visual effects. The position also involves integrating AI-generated video content, developing prompts and workflows for AI video tools, and combining AI elements seamlessly with traditional editing. The ideal candidate is an experienced editor with expert-level proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop, a strong design sense, and a deep understanding of what drives engagement on short-form social platforms. This role requires exceptional creativity, attention to detail, the ability to maintain high-quality standards with fast turnaround times, and the ability to work independently while collaborating on creative direction and content strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Edit high performing Instagram Reels and TikTok content daily.
• Create complex edits with advanced transitions, sound design, and pacing.
• Elevate raw footage into premium short form content.
• Apply motion elements, visual effects, and creative enhancements.
• Create and integrate AI generated video content.
• Develop prompts and workflows for AI video generation tools.
• Maintain extremely high-quality standards with fast turnaround times.
• Collaborate closely on creative direction and content strategy.
• Perform other tasks related to the position.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Proficient level of English (written and spoken).
• Extensive professional experience editing short form social media content.
• Several years of hands-on experience editing Instagram Reels and TikTok at a high level.
• Expert level proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Expert level proficiency in Adobe After Effects.
• Expert level proficiency in Adobe Photoshop.
• Strong design sense including typography, layout, and visual hierarchy.
• Deep expertise in sound design, transitions, and advanced editing techniques.
• Expert level ability in animations and text animations for short form content.
• Experience using AI video generation tools.
• Strong prompt engineering skills for AI video creation and workflows.
• Ability to combine AI generated content seamlessly with traditional edits.
• Highly creative with strong independent thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and consistency.
• Ability to work full-time and meet daily deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Out-of-the-box thinker with a reliable, self-motivated, and confident approach.

• Ability to work in alignment with U.S. Eastern Time (New York time) business hours.

Portfolio and Test Project:

• Availability to submit a Portfolio consisting of five videos personally edited is required.
• Ability to submit a Test Project consisting of a video edit, as follows:
• The videos must demonstrate complex edits.
  Advanced transitions, sound effects, creative pacing, motion elements, and professional-level animations must be included.
  Intelligent use of AI-generated video is expected.
  Simple edits will not be considered.

Compensation & Benefits:

• 100% remote work.
• Compensation in USD.
