Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Remote Estimator and Takeoff Specialist to support the preparation of accurate lighting takeoffs and bid packages based on architectural and electrical drawings. This role involves reviewing blueprints and lighting specifications, ensuring consistency between drawings and technical requirements, and identifying any discrepancies. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with Sales and communicate with clients when clarification is needed to ensure precise project estimates. This position requires strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, proficiency in English, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines. Experience with construction drawings, takeoff software such as PlanSwift, and Microsoft Office is highly preferred, along with familiarity working on U.S.-based projects and standards. The ideal candidate will satisfy the following requirements and qualifications:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively read and evaluate architectural and electrical drawings.
  • Conduct a detailed takeoff of lighting fixtures and controls as shown on the drawings.
  • Read and check lighting specifications to ensure they are in sync with layout and application on drawings.
  • Interact with client when, or if, inconsistencies in specifications and drawings are discovered.
  • Prepare bid packages based on customers bill of material.
  • Collaborate with Sales on proposals.
  • Perform other tasks related to the position.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Proficient level of English (written and spoken).
  • Strong interpersonal and phone communication skills with excellent customer service approach.
  • Experience working with U.S.-based companies, projects, or standards highly preferred.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience in reading blueprints and familiarity with all aspects of construction drawings.
  • Ability to multitask while staying organized.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and successfully work in a demanding environment.
  • Positive customer service skills.
  • On-Screen Take Off experience with Planswift a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Out-of-the-box thinker, reliable, self-motivated, confident, and quick learner with a positive attitude.
  • Sound judgment and the capacity to comprehend and execute instructions promptly with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in alignment with U.S. Eastern Time (New York time) business hours.
  • Interested in long-term career opportunities.
  • Reliable computer (Windows 10 or newer), two monitors, and stable high-speed internet.

Compensation & Benefits:
