System Engineer supports internal platform operations by administering core business applications, executing system integration tasks, and enhancing reliability across tools and services.
Requirements
- Independently administer and maintain core applications such as ServiceNow, Okta, and others managed by the Platform team.
- Resolve Tier 2 tickets involving system access, platform performance, advanced configuration, and user onboarding/offboarding scenarios.
- Assist in planning and executing application consolidations, license audits, and access reviews during acquisition integration efforts.
- Contribute to the development and enforcement of internal configuration standards and access control procedures.
- Ensure accurate system relationships and data within the ServiceNow CMDB by reviewing CI data and resolving inconsistencies.
- Document system processes, workflows, and platform changes to support onboarding, knowledge sharing, and audit readiness.
- Participate in evaluating new applications or tools, assessing integration complexity and alignment with business needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to collect feedback and iterate on internal tool improvements.
- Monitor platform ticket queues to ensure timely responses, appropriate routing, and consistent closure standards.
- Provide support and mentorship to Associate System Engineers on platform administration and request handling.
