Position Purpose:

As a Senior Software Engineer at Tactiq, you’ll design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver features that meet user and business needs.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  • Design and develop scalable software applications and systems
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high- quality products
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to peers and less experienced engineers, fostering a collaborative environment and contributing to team growth.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to team best practices
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize applications for performance and scalability
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and propose improvements to systems and processes
  • Leverage AI-assisted development tools and practices to accelerate delivery, improve code quality, and document decision-making
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or a demonstrated track record of building and shipping challenging software projects.
  • 4+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering software to production environments, including ownership of features from design through deployment.
  • Experience in developing large-scale, high-performance applications.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
  • Expert-level proficiency in relevant programming languages (Python, Java, GoLang).
  • Strong proficiency in relational databases.
  • Familiarity with containerization tools (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes).
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing automated testing strategies.
  • Experience with version control systems (Git) and collaborative development tools.
  • Hands-on experience using and integrating AI-based tools and workflows into the development lifecycle, understanding their capabilities, limitations, and establishing appropriate guardrails against inherent risks.
  • Must reside in one of these states: CA, CT, FL, IL, KY, MD, MA, MI, MN, NC, NY, OH, PA, RI, SC, TN, TX, VA, WA
  • Applicant must be legally authorized to work in the United States and will not require sponsorship now or in the future.
